Dad

I like learning, especially learning about God, really getting deep into who He is, what He is about. Then there are the simpler lessons too. This last week my husband and I are taking in some video sermons, this lesson particularly on prayer. Pray Like Jesus. Or as the pastor put it, "talking to Dad", the Father, the perfect Father. He is always attentive to us, with us and answers us. It might be a Yes, a No or a Later, but he will always answer.

The Pastor recalled in his message when he became a Father and how much more he understood God, the heavenly Father, as a Father. That makes sense to me. On another note, I remember when Quinn and I were dating, he loved me and I had a sense of this deep love he had for me...I remember thinking then: if Quinn and I have this deep love for one another, how much more does God love us? Then we got married and I found out how much more Quinn loves me, he acts it out and he tells me. God's love was again unfathomable to me. Then we had Caden, I love him so deeply, so, so, so deeply; and again I think of God's love, I know God loves Caden even more than we do...but HOW can He love him more? I could hug and kiss that boy all day. How much more does God express his love to us? A deeper love is unfathomable to me. But he does...
