By way of Baptism

Able to attend my (uncle) Gerald's baptism: pure awesomeness!!
Mark 16:16: He that believes and is baptized shall be saved

Really thankful we were able to go, Congratulations again Gerald! :)

And again, Caden traveled fairly well, nice 3 hour+ naps, then Quinn or would jump back and entertain him during awake periods, then some solid jumping around on the off-road break.

Schedules and BBQs

(playing Wii with Daddy)

In June I will be babysitting a one year old through the weekdays. Thus, I have felt the need to schedule my life in order to prevent chaos. I recently heard a sermon/message on planning, how important it is for us as individuals and/or in households. If you have a plan and it needs adjusting, that's ok, at least you had the plan in place. It is good for us to plan for short-term or long-term, but be aware if God has alternate plans to be accepting of that change to your plan.

Proverbs 16:9
In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

Short-term

So, I've devised a chart, showing what meal will need to be made for each day of the week for the 4 weeks of June, therefore ensuring I get everything I need at the grocery store on the weekend, meaning no random trips for Quinn or I. Also, on the chart I filled in all the household requirements for each day of the week. i.e. laundry, vacuum, dusting, washroom. I kinda have a system already, but when you have two little ones around, I might forget throughout the week. Their needs are on the forefront of my mind, and we also plan to go outside every day of the week. Hopefully with the schedule, when there is downtime or naptime I can fit in the household stuff as I'm reminded by my sked.

I know June will be a crazy month with the adjustments of having 2 boys, so I'm praying the transition goes smoooooooth :)

things

This morning I am pooped, so I will chill for the next couple hours with Caden til he gets tired, then we're both napping. He had a 3x awake night, his nose is stuffed, so maybe that's why, although he kinda did this over each night of the weekend, so I'm hoping its not habit already. They catch on unbelievably fast; if I cry long enough, Mommy will come feed me each time!...smart!

You know how babies play with their bottle when they get to a certain age? Well, Caden started playing with his, if you know what I mean. Its actually quite comical, I don't let it go on forever, I don't want it to become his entertainment by any means!

His BM's have become almost daily now, although they seem to be a little thick still and little straining involved, at least getting more frequent, on the upswing.

For about a week and a half, Caden rolled and rolled and rolled, but in the last few days, he stopped rolling. Now, he just lays on his belly and rocks back and forth like a beached whale. Sometimes he pulls his knees up, just a matter of time before figures out crawling.

I am so grateful for Quinn, my wonderful God given husband and Caden, how did God design something so cute?, so delighted for the time I get to spend with them.

I'm thankful that God creates, we might think we "plan" when to have babies or create, not so, God is the creator, he determines where, when, etc (Acts 17:26).
For me, as Ravi Zacharias stated "When God brings us to salvation, the most remarkable thing we see is he transforms our hungers. He changes not just what we do, but what we want to do. This is the work of the Holy Spirit within us - "for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose" (Phillippians 2:13)". I'm thankful for the joyful responsibility He gave us of raising Caden, one of our life's missions.
